Smartline Books has acquired the rights to publish La Victoria, the debut novel by Danish author Ayaz Shah, marking the writer’s entry into the Ghanaian literary market.
Ayaz Shah is a Danish writer and trained actor. Based in Copenhagen, Shah writes primarily in Danish. His work is recognised for its exploration of diverse cultural landscapes and language, blending and reshaping them to craft narratives that move between worlds and open new imaginative spaces.
His debut novel, La Victoria, was first published by Wadskjaer Forlag in 2024. The novel was recently adapted for the stage at LiteraturHaus in Copenhagen. It is now set to reach a broader audience through an upcoming edition by Smartline Books.
