Black Females in Architecture invites contributions to their participatory project, which honours women’s forms of knowledge and everyday ways of shaping the city. Works may take the form of visual art, music, performance, designs or participatory practice.

The Solitude Fellowship is a residency awarded by Akademle Schloss Solitude to international artists, researchers, and cultural professionals from all disciplines. The RCDIJ Africa Fund welcomes proposals from individual journalists from African countries who are into investigative journalism. The RCDIJ Africa Fund accepts applications on a rolling basis. Rewards The RCDIJ Africa Fund has a ceiling of $10,000. Approved sum for each project ranges from under $1,000 to $10,000. The Fresh Voices Fellowship by Epiphany supports one emerging Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other writer of color who does not have an MFA in creative writing nor an advanced English degree (MA, PhD), and is not currently enrolled in a degree-granting program. They encourage writers who work outside the traditional literary and academic systems to apply, and applicants must not have an advanced degree in English, creative writing, or other related fields,

Eligibility: Applicants also must not have published or be contracted to publish a book.

For their last quarterly issue of the year, Isele is looking for stories that confront the blank page, stories inspired by the spirit of the Unwritten. The New Emergence Art Prize champions emerging and underrepresented artists across all media. Founded in 2020 by Habib Hajallie, the prize seeks to provide meaningful recognition, visibility, and financial support to help artists continue their practice. Shortlisted artists are featured in an online gallery to boost exposure and engagement with a global audience.

Cassava Republic Press invites Black designers from around the world to enter the Echoes of the Earth: Black Voices Reclaiming Ecology and Justice cover design competition. This open call is part of the publisher’s commitment to amplifying Black creative voices in the global publishing industry. The winning design will be used as the official cover for Echoes of the Earth, a groundbreaking anthology centering African and Afro-Diasporic perspectives on ecology, climate justice, and environmental futures. No previous book design experience is required, and emerging designers are especially encouraged to apply.

The dot Artist Residency program in Accra offers a supportive space for creativity, collaboration, and artistic growth. Set in the city center, the residency provides artists with the time, space, and resources to deepen their practice and connect with a vibrant creative community.

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation invites visual artists all over the world to apply for the all year rolling grant. The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time. Professional exhibition history will be taken into consideration. Artists must be actively exhibiting their current work in professional artistic venues, such as gallery and museum spaces. Rewards The Foundation will review expenditures relating to an artist’s professional work and personal expenses and amounts range up to $50,000. The size of the grant is determined by the individual circumstances of the artist.

The Brittle Paper is calling all aspiring African writers to enroll in Brittle Paper’s The Writing Room courses. The courses are digital and free.
