About Creatives Project Ghana

Bridging the gap between creativity and entrepreneurship in Ghana through community, resources, and opportunities.

Our Mission

To provide a platform where young creatives can access resources, support, and opportunities to develop their craft and build sustainable careers. Through webinars, skill upgrade seminars, funding opportunities, contests, and networking initiatives, we aim to empower creatives across various disciplines and foster collaboration and professional growth.

Our Vision

We envision a future where Ghanaian creatives are globally recognised, locally empowered, and financially independent. A future where the creative economy contributes meaningfully to national development and where art, storytelling, and entrepreneurship go hand in hand.

Our Story

In 2023, our founder, Boakye D. Alpha, received a grant from Africa No Filter through the Tony Elumelu Storytellers Fund to research the Ghanaian creative economy. The goal was to explore the opportunities, challenges, and gaps in the industry and, most importantly, to recommend ways for creatives to transform their skills into sustainable businesses.

Through this research, one truth stood out clearly: Ghana had incredible creative talent—writers, filmmakers, poets, designers, photographers—but very few communities or organisations existed to support, connect, and champion these voices.

The research could have ended there, as a report or a recommendation. But Alpha believed action was needed. He envisioned a space where creatives would not only find opportunities but also learn, collaborate, and thrive—a place where creativity meets entrepreneurship, and talent grows into careers.

That dream became Creatives Project Ghana (CPG). With a vision to become a central hub for Ghanaian creatives, CPG is committed to creating a thriving ecosystem that nurtures talent, encourages innovation, and strengthens the creative industry.

As we grow, we plan to expand our impact through strategic partnerships, community-driven initiatives, and digital platforms that amplify the voices and works of Ghanaian creatives.
