British award-winning writer, director, and Actor, Michaela Coel, is set to spotlight Ghana in her upcoming drama series, 'First Day on Earth.'

The big International project features an impressive lineup of Ghanaian talents, including Sister Deborah, Joselyn Dumas, Sarkodie, Akrobeto, Adjetey Anang, Roselyn Ngissah, Godwin Namboh, and Akofa Edjeani, among several others. Their inclusion marks a significant moment for Ghana's entertainment industry on the global stage.

This new series follows Coel's 2020 global hit production, 'I May Destroy You', which featured Coel alongside Thandiwe Newton, Maxine Peake, Danny Sapani and Ncuti Gatwa.

'First Day on Earth' tells the story of a Ghanaian-British Novelist who is on the run from her past. When she arrives in her ancestral home of Ghana, she immerses herself in a world of new relationships and experiences. However, as hidden secrets and lies begin to surface, she starts to doubt everything she believes about her identity.

The inclusion of Ghanaian actors and creatives in such a major international project represents a stepping stone toward greater achievements for the country's creative industry.
