The Goethe-Institut Ghana brings together some of the country's emerging poets and spoken word artists for the second edition of the Ghana Poetry Experience Slam Night on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. It will be an evening of creativity, performance, and competition.
The event is the final activity of the three-day Ghana Poetry Experience, which runs from July 9 to July 11. During the programme, participants will take part in workshops, networking sessions and mentorship before competing for the top three prizes at the slam night.
This year's event features 10 participants from different parts of Ghana.
The facilitators for the programme are Emma Ofosua and Beah Batakou, both respected writers and performance poets. They will lead the workshops and mentor participants throughout the event.

The Goethe-Institut has invited members of the public to attend the free event and support the participants as they showcase their talent and compete for the top prizes.
