Emma McDonald

CNF Editor

Emma (she/they) is a writer and editor specialising in creative non-fiction and prose. She is a student on the University of East Anglia’s Prose Fiction MA in Norwich, England and works with publications, such as Hinterland Magazine and UEA’s postgraduate anthology, as well as independent authors. Emma is particularly interested in writing that is intersectional in both its content and its form, in interrogations of relationships with ‘home’, and in explorations of food, disability, and queerness. They admire writers such Leone Ross, Michelle de Kretser, Bernardine Evaristo and Joelle Taylor for their ability to shape form to suit the communities they depict and for the vivid settings and characters they conjure. Finally, Emma is a member of various arts communities and proud to be part of supporting another with The Hummingbird.
